  • Accidents do happen. Bad things can even befall bad people. Fists fly fast and furious in John Wick. Expect EOne Entertainment to bring in lots of living bodies at Cineplex Odeon Theatres around B.C. Canadian raised Keanu Reeves continues in that Matrix mould as a modern day cold and cunning Neo-like hit man.

Left hung out to dry by his former employer and a string of bad luck coaxes this lone gun once again out of retirement. In a plot someone akin to fellow shooter film The Equalizer John Wick is full value for what it is: a blood-soaked revenge yarn.

    short-fuse

Create the mood and go for the jugular. That about sums up the modus operandi of joint director John Leitch and Chad Stahelski who create just the right mood to set this ace fog often hit man off. Grieving does not come off easy for this dressed in black killer affectionately known as “The Bogeyman”. Bad guys and the law alike fear John who reluctantly returns to his killing ways when his wife and a dog mysteriously disappear, Off to the races we go as John fully engages the opposition on a quest for redemption.

Action fans will enjoy the body count as Reeves effectively out Rambos Rambo in a journey that pits him against gentlemanly crime czar Viggo Tarasov and his equally bizarre and ruthless henchmen. Smooth and slimy all at once is Michael Nyqvist who exudes all evil charm as a father at wit’s end who gets sucked into a conflict he really wants no part of.

All bets are off and the bullets fly as the one man killing machine known as John Wick returns to his element. Non-stop action, stupendous stunts and meting out Justice in the. Out basic of ways make John Wick a guilty pleasure not to be messed with – but perfect care for the adrenalin-seeking crowd.
