Recently held Eat! Vancouver at the new Vancouver Convention Center was a big success! About 40,000 people attended the three-day food and cooking event that featured food industries new products, cooking demonstrations conducted by famous celebrity chefs like Rob Feenie of Cactus Club. Chefs had a chance to share their culinary knowledge and showcase their cooking expertise at the center stage.
Though quite chaotic, we managed to squeeze ourselves into the booth of that featured interesting products like Bosa Company, a distributor of fine Italian products like extra virgin olive oil, specialty wines and cheeses, puff pastries and a lot more!
Another highlight of the event was the grapes and hops area where wine andbeer samples. Inquiries were answered by knowledgeable people.Café Bonchaz sampling their oven fresh buns in a very limited booth space was really impressive. A mobile ‘proofer’ to rest the buns before baking in a convection oven made us enjoy the bread at their booth. Nothing really beats the satisfaction of eating freshly baked bread! Discount card was being given away for guests to come and visit their store at West Hastings Street, Vancouver.
Next year, hopefully the event organizer will consider to increase floor area for exhibitors and restaurants dining to accommodate guests’ curiosity by sampling the different dishes at the Bite! Vancouver.
