  • Duterte VolunteersThe Duterte Volunteers of Alberta Canada headed by Chairperson Benjie Lindo celebrates Thanksgiving Party coinciding President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s first day in office; July 1, 2016 at Mama Nita’s Binalot.  It was attended by Alberta’s volunteers around Edmonton area and major Filipino-Canadian Association leaders with Guest Speaker Phil Con-Gen Julius Torres, Edmonton-McClung MLS Lorne Dach.

    During the event, Davao City Councilor Diosdado Mahipus, a longtime ally of then Mayor Duterte, delivered a live phone patch message thanking the volunteers for their support in behalf on President Rodrigo Duterte.

    On his speech, Philippine Consul-General Julius thanking the volunteers for their support and he announced that Philippine Consulate for province of Alberta and Saskatchewan are now issuing and renewing Philippine passport and providing other services and support for our fellow countrymen. Outreach program to reach Filipinos around the province of Alberta and Saskatchewan is in planning stage.
