Surrey – The City of Surrey is calling for submissions in its PARKit Design Challenge, a com­petition for the design and instal­lation of a summertime pop-up park in Surrey City Centre. Individuals and groups are in­vited to submit their ideas for a creative sustainable outdoor pub­lic space capable of supporting mobile food vendors. The selected winner will receive $12,000 to fabricate and install their design. Honorariums will be awarded to second ($500) and third place teams ($250).

Atty. Frank Chavez, TV host- actress Kris Aquino’s legal counsel revealed that the court has granted Kris’ petition for a temporary pro­tection order (TPO) against her for­mer husband James Yap, whom she accused of “abuse of visitational rights” and inflicting psychological harm on their son Bimby. The TPO is said to be good for 30 days, but Kris’ legal counsel makes a petition to make the protection order permanent. The proceeding is resched­uled on April 8 to 10.

Breaking his silence about his former wife Kris Aquino filing a Temporary Protection Order against him, James Yap insisted that he is telling the truth. In an interview aired over ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol, James expressed his hurt and shock in tears over Kris’ accusations that he made sexual advances to her last December 3, 2012.
