Sly humour and slapstick fun provide lots of ammunition in Potiche, a raucous import from France and E One films now hitting your funny bone at the Fifth Avenue Cinemas. Mistaken identities and family conflict are at the heart of Potishce. Told in French with English titles this film can be classified as a throwback to the old romantic comedies much akin to those made by Rock Hudson and Sandra Dee during the 1960s – namely light and fluffy.

Good crowds are a good omen for new entertainment projects. Past success and a solid reputation clearly has fueled interest in the Arts Club Theatre’s newest production: The Graduate. Fans of the classic movie will be delighted that a first rate cast pulls off a definite crowd pleaser for all to behold at the Granville Island Stage. Sex is a complicated affair for all of us. Problems galore arise for a young man just home from a heavy university course load. Man of the moment Benjamin Braddock seems to have got it made.
