Vancouver, BC- A special concert to benefit Make-A-Wish will take place on Sunday, November 6th at the Massey Theatre in New Westminister at 7:00 p.m. 16 year old Filippino teen singer Anjela Gerardo will sing for her friend and former wish kid, Andrew Lamigo with the goal of raising $6,000; enough funds to grant a wish. Andrew had his wish to Walt Disney World granted through the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of BC nine years ago. Just four years old at the time, Andrew was in awe of the spectacle of the theme parks throughout his wish.  “His eyes were as wide as saucers when we entered the gates of Walt Disney World”, recalled his mother Charlotte. “As a parent, it was amazing to watch after everything he’d been through.” Andrew has Hemolytic Anemia; a life-threatening medication condition for which he still receives monthly transfusions. Although he is doing well, Andrew can’t play contact sports because of his central line and his growth has been stunted by the steroids he must take. Charlotte agrees that it’s a small price to pay for having her son alive and well almost a decade later.

Andrew and his family will be at the concert supporting their friend and helping to raise funds so that other kids may also know the joy of a having their fondest wish come true.
