Paskong Pinoy sa PNE 2011

TFC’s Banana Split at Pasko sa PNE. VANCOUVER - The Filipino Channel (TFC) has confirmed their participating artists for the 2011 “Pasko Na Namang Muli…sa PNE” event. Actress-host Angelica Panganiban and comedian Pooh, impersonator extraordinaire of boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, will entertain thousands of expected guests and visitors at the Christmas fair and bazaar on December 3-4.

Angelica Panganiban and Pooh are expected to provide a hilarious entertainment program for thousands of Filipino Canadians attending the event, where a good number this year are coming from other provinces, mostly Calgary and Winnipeg, and the neighboring cities of Victoria, Nanaimo, Kelowna and Kamloops.

A contingent from across the border in Seattle, Washington is also expected to share “Paskong Pinoy”, just like they did in 2010, where they even have their own talents contributing performances during the celebration.

“Our focus this time is total fun!” declared Phil Dela Merced, president of Palengkeng Pinoy Trade and Exchange Network, Inc (PP10), organizer of this annual Christmas event.

Dela Merced added, “Reason why we opted to request our international media partner, TFC, to invite comedians more than matinee performers, as we want people to be leaving the event with a smile in their faces, knowing that we have given them a truly happy experience. And Banana Split’s Angelica and Pooh will surely bring us to that objective.”

Ecodrive Technology Group Inc., exclusive Supplier of E-Cycle® and EVT® Electric Vehicles, located at1581 W. 4th Avenue, Vancouver, is sponsoring grand raffle prizes of two (2) SCOOTERS, one each for every day of the event. The organizers also thank the tandem of Realtor Evelyn Lopez and Royal Bank Mortgage Consultant Jessie Tanada who have been loyal supporters of all our Filipino community events.

Kimwell Del Rosario, 2011 “Paskong Pinoy” director, is now finalizing the program for the two-day event and, said that “a different twist in this year’s celebration is the active participation of churches and parishes in the Christmas caroling exhibitions, as well as presentations coming from various organizations”.

“We encourage maximum participation from local talents as well,” Del Rosario said.

PP10 Chairman Rey Fortaleza, on the other hand said, “we reduced the entrance donation to $2 this year to allow a great number of our Kababayans tp join us in this biggest community event of the season.”
