Fiipino Canadians will get the chance to bond with their favorite trio of Tito, Vic, and Joey, and the the rest of the Dabarkads, as Philippines’ longest-running and number one noontime television program – EAT BULAGA! – takes over Queen Elizabeth Theater on Saturday, April 23! INVADES VANCOUVER promises to provide a night full of entertainment to its Pinoy dabarkads with loads of fun and surprises packed in its signature segments and special numbers. Launched on Philippine television in 1979, EAT BULAGA! – the noontime show that pairs big surprises with the viewers’ hearty lunch – has since been the Filipinos’ constant lunchtime companion over the years. It is because of this purpose that the program title was coined from the words eat and bulaga (surprise!). Going on its 32nd year in July, EAT BULAGA! only proves that it has now become the most successful and the most influential variety show in the Philippines.

Fueled by its desire to entertain and help its audiences in big ways, the show has been at the forefront of Philippine television for over three decades now -- bringing only the biggest and most original game segments to the Philippine TV landscape. Among these are current hits “Pinoy Henyo,” a guessing game which is now undeniably popular all over the country; “Juan for All, All for Juan,” which has a series of challenges made for a group of people in a small community or barangay; and “Hakutan For Everyone,” where a contestant is given one minute to gather all the coins he can as prize money, using only his bare hands. Just recently, GMA Network and TAPE Inc., the production outfit behind EAT BULAGA!, furthered its partnership for the airing of the program.

The extension contract will see EAT BULAGA! staying with the Kapuso Network until 2015. This gives its avid viewers, not only in the Philippines but also worldwide, the chance to catch their favorite noontime show six days a week on GMA Pinoy TV. Catch EAT BULAGA! INVADES VANCOUVER on April 23, 7:00pm, at Queen Elizabeth Theater. Tickets are sold at $35, $55, $75, and $95 at select Filipino stores and at Seafood City Supermarket, and online at www.shadowincentertainment.com.
