Vancouverites Pinoys raring to see Crispa-Toyota match

It’s all systems go for the much awaited PBA Legends featuring the most dramatic and climactic rivalry of Crispa and Toyota. The much anticipated battle of two ballclubs comes off the wrap on August 29 at the BCIT Gym in Willingdon, Burnaby. Vancouverites Filipino-Canadi­ans are excited and can’t wait to get a glimpse of their hardcourt idols back in mid70’s up to mid 80’s. They’re so curious to watch the present physical look of these superstar cagers, who influenced millions of Filipino people, espe­cially those truly die-hard PBA fanatics. Gates will be open at 1:00 PM wherein a there’s a supporting card game between ABL Auto Tech and the De La Salle alumni. The main event tussle fires of at 3:00 which is expected to be a full house crowd. Tim Coloso, Francis Arnaiz, Robert “JAWO” Jaworski, Mon Fernandez, Abe King, Ruffy Ignacio and Rino Salazar at San Diego-Peterson Gym - PBA Legends Tour’s game.

The Redmanizers, famous monicker of Crispa will be ban­nered by Fortunato “Atoy” Co, William “Bogs” Adornado, Philip Cezar, Abet Guidaben and Fred­die Hubalde. Crispa will again ignite their heated rivalry with the Corollas, trademark of Toyota led by Rob­ert Jaworski, Francis Arnaiz, Mon Fernadez and Abe King.

Joining the veteran basketball stars are famous basketball play­ers in the 1980s and 1990s. Playing for the Crispa team will be Ronnie Magsanoc, Hec­tor Calma, Art Dela Cruz, George Marquez, Bong Alvarez, and Jerry Codinera.

Joining the Toyota veterans are Chito Loyzaga, Manny Paner, Alvin Patrimonio, Vergel Meneses, Allan Caidic, Gerry Esplana, Nel­son Asaytono and Jun Limpot. The Crispa-Toyota game is be­ing organized by the Philippine Asian News Today, Philippine Showbiz Today with Philippine Entertain­ment Today (PET) Productions. Part of the proceeds goes to PBA Leg­ends USA Foundation.
